Structure Of The Exam
There are two sections to this exam , the first section is theoretical and the second half is practical.
1. Understand how online and social media products are used.
2. Understand the impact of social media and globalisation on media audiences and producers.
3. Understand how global industries use social media.
4. Know how to plan and manage a social media campaign.
The exam is out of 60, a pass grade sits around 25 marks and a distinction around 45.

Personal use of social media Vs Professional use of social media
1. Professional use of social media allows you to give information about a product or service and relay it to those using it for personal gratification.
2. Personal use of social media allows you to keep in contact with friends and acquaintances (not for managing and marketing) - the smaller audience
3. Professional use of social media is aimed toward financial gain
4. Personal use of social media allows us to project our own political views etc , however political views by professional users must be censored as to not be inflammatory.
5. Individuals are allowed to post for entertainment purposes on their accounts.
6. Professional and personal use can sometimes crossover, music artists are promoting their sound however keep us up to date with their day to day lives - this is managed by a group of representatives for that person.

Wikinomics - The business model of the way in which the internet has changed economics.
Before the arrival of web 2.0, there was no such thing as Wikinomics or the prosumer.
Wikinomics has ultimately led to the rise of the prosumer.
An example of a company uses Wikinomics would be Amazon.
